# Talkbox Messenger vs Supertext

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Talkbox Messenger at none against Supertext's 10. Talkbox Messenger also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (68% vs 40%). Supertext's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and rating (3.2 vs 2.9). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Supertext sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Talkbox Messenger asks for nothing beyond the download.

Supertext holds the better App Store score, 3.2 against 2.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 25 and 6 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of Talkbox Messenger's written reviews are positive against 40% of Supertext's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Talkbox Messenger ships an update every 2 months, Supertext weekly. Both last shipped on November 1, 2026.
