# SkyDroid vs Golf GPS++

The clearest difference is price: Golf GPS++ at Free against SkyDroid's $1.99. Golf GPS++ also leads on rating (4.6 vs 3.7) and update cadence (monthly vs every 11 months). SkyDroid's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and review sentiment (75% vs 44%). On ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Golf GPS++ is free to download; SkyDroid costs $1.99 up front. Golf GPS++ sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. SkyDroid asks for nothing beyond the download.

Golf GPS++ holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Golf GPS++ has 4.7K ratings behind it against 151, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of SkyDroid's written reviews are positive against 44% of Golf GPS++'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SkyDroid ships an update every 11 months, Golf GPS++ monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
