# Fruit Remover vs Hungry Oni

The clearest difference is rating: Hungry Oni at 4.7 against Fruit Remover's 1.5. Hungry Oni also leads on update cadence (every 6 months vs every 22 months) and ratings volume (20 vs 2). Fruit Remover's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hungry Oni sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Fruit Remover asks for nothing beyond the download.

Hungry Oni holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 1.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hungry Oni has 20 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Fruit Remover's written reviews are positive against 95% of Hungry Oni's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Fruit Remover ships an update every 22 months, Hungry Oni every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
