# InstarVision vs Smartfrog Camera

The clearest difference is rating: Smartfrog Camera at 5.0 against InstarVision's 4.4. Smartfrog Camera also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.0). InstarVision's advantage is review sentiment (93% vs 66%) and ratings volume (9 vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Smartfrog Camera holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 9 and 2 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 93% of InstarVision's written reviews are positive against 66% of Smartfrog Camera's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

InstarVision ships an update every 5 weeks, Smartfrog Camera every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
