# Snowboard Hero vs FishPond

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: FishPond at none against Snowboard Hero's 5. FishPond also leads on review sentiment (70% vs 40%) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 4 months). Snowboard Hero's advantage is rating (3.9 vs 3.5) and ratings volume (116 vs 17). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Snowboard Hero sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. FishPond asks for nothing beyond the download.

Snowboard Hero holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Snowboard Hero has 116 ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of Snowboard Hero's written reviews are positive against 70% of FishPond's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Snowboard Hero ships an update every 4 months, FishPond fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
