# Expreso vs Diario Extra

The clearest difference is rating: Diario Extra at 4.4 against Expreso's 1.0. Diario Extra also leads on ratings volume (8 vs 1). Expreso's advantage is update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Diario Extra holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Diario Extra has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Expreso ships an update every 6 weeks, Diario Extra every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
