# TV4 Play vs Allente

The clearest difference is rating: Allente at 5.0 against TV4 Play's 4.4. Allente also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.4). TV4 Play's advantage is review sentiment (23% vs 0%) and ratings volume (13 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Allente holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TV4 Play has 13 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 23% of TV4 Play's written reviews are positive against 0% of Allente's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TV4 Play ships an update fortnightly, Allente monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
