# Large Maps vs Offline GPS Navigation

The clearest difference is price: Offline GPS Navigation at Free against Large Maps's $7.99. Offline GPS Navigation also leads on ratings volume (2.9K vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks). Large Maps's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). On ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Offline GPS Navigation is free to download; Large Maps costs $7.99 up front. Offline GPS Navigation sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Large Maps asks for nothing beyond the download.

Large Maps holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Offline GPS Navigation has 2.9K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of Large Maps's written reviews are positive against 78% of Offline GPS Navigation's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
