# SkyView® Lite vs GalacticAR

The clearest difference is ads: GalacticAR at none against SkyView® Lite's shown. GalacticAR also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months) and device support (6 vs 2). SkyView® Lite's advantage is ratings volume (19K vs 120) and chart position (#53 vs unranked). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SkyView® Lite sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and GalacticAR sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for SkyView® Lite against 4.5 for GalacticAR. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SkyView® Lite has 19K ratings behind it against 120, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 75% of SkyView® Lite's written reviews are positive against 69% of GalacticAR's.

SkyView® Lite ships an update every 2 months, GalacticAR monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
