# SkyView® Lite vs Star Walk 2 Pro

The clearest difference is price: SkyView® Lite at Free against Star Walk 2 Pro's $2.99. Star Walk 2 Pro's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (67K vs 19K). On rating, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

SkyView® Lite is free to download; Star Walk 2 Pro costs $2.99 up front. SkyView® Lite sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Star Walk 2 Pro sells 8 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Star Walk 2 Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 19K and 67K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of SkyView® Lite's written reviews are positive against 72% of Star Walk 2 Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
