# Google Translate vs Translate Keyboard+ Translator

The clearest difference is rating: Google Translate at 4.3 against Translate Keyboard+ Translator's 3.8. Google Translate also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2) and ads (none vs shown). Translate Keyboard+ Translator's advantage is review sentiment (57% vs 42%). On price, monetization model, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Translate Keyboard+ Translator sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Google Translate asks for nothing beyond the download.

Google Translate holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Google Translate has 84K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 42% of Google Translate's written reviews are positive against 57% of Translate Keyboard+ Translator's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
