# Vakko vs Boyner

Vakko and Boyner both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 72% of Vakko's written reviews are positive against 49% of Boyner's. Vakko also leads on monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). Boyner's advantage is ratings volume (2K vs 78). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Vakko against 4.8 for Boyner. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Boyner has 2K ratings behind it against 78, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 72% of Vakko's written reviews are positive against 49% of Boyner's.

Vakko ships an update fortnightly, Boyner every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on November 6, 2026.
