# Main vs FN News

The clearest difference is update cadence: FN News at every 5 weeks against Main's every 5 months. FN News also leads on review sentiment (64% vs 44%). Main's advantage is ratings volume (8 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Main sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $29.99 per month and FN News sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Main against 5.0 for FN News. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Main has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 44% of Main's written reviews are positive against 64% of FN News's.

Main ships an update every 5 months, FN News every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
