# Bluster! vs Word Wizard

The clearest difference is rating: Bluster! at 4.5 against Word Wizard's 4.2. Bluster! also leads on iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.6). Word Wizard's advantage is review sentiment (88% vs 73%) and ratings volume (101 vs 8). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bluster! sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and Word Wizard sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Bluster! holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Word Wizard has 101 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of Bluster!'s written reviews are positive against 88% of Word Wizard's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Bluster! ships an update every 13 months, Word Wizard every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
