# Expresso vs Observador

The clearest difference is rating: Expresso at 4.7 against Observador's 4.0. Expresso also leads on ratings volume (58 vs 4) and review sentiment (24% vs 10%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Expresso sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and Observador sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Expresso holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Expresso has 58 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 24% of Expresso's written reviews are positive against 10% of Observador's.

Expresso ships an update monthly, Observador every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
