# Burn the Rope Lite vs Monster Egg 3D

The clearest difference is ads: Burn the Rope Lite at none against Monster Egg 3D's shown. Burn the Rope Lite also leads on review sentiment (83% vs 54%) and iOS requirement (4.0 vs 12.5). Monster Egg 3D's advantage is ratings volume (18K vs 353) and rating (4.6 vs 4.4). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Burn the Rope Lite sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Monster Egg 3D sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Monster Egg 3D holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Monster Egg 3D has 18K ratings behind it against 353, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of Burn the Rope Lite's written reviews are positive against 54% of Monster Egg 3D's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Burn the Rope Lite ships an update monthly, Monster Egg 3D every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
