# connect Magazin vs Mac Life

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Mac Life at 100% against connect Magazin's 50%. Mac Life also leads on update cadence (every 3 months vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (9 vs 1). connect Magazin's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. connect Magazin sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $25.49 per 6 months and Mac Life sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

connect Magazin holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mac Life has 9 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of connect Magazin's written reviews are positive against 100% of Mac Life's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

connect Magazin ships an update every 7 months, Mac Life every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
