# Appian vs Basic Beauty

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Basic Beauty at 100% against Appian's 23%. Basic Beauty also leads on rating (5.0 vs 3.7) and update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). Appian's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 6) and ratings volume (40 vs 1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Basic Beauty sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Appian asks for nothing beyond the download.

Basic Beauty holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Appian has 40 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 23% of Appian's written reviews are positive against 100% of Basic Beauty's.

Appian ships an update fortnightly, Basic Beauty weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
