# More Pie vs Cake Pop Maker

The clearest difference is price: Cake Pop Maker at Free against More Pie's $0.99. Cake Pop Maker also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (1.5K vs 23). More Pie's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and iOS requirement (7.0 vs 11.0). On review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Cake Pop Maker is free to download; More Pie costs $0.99 up front. Cake Pop Maker sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. More Pie asks for nothing beyond the download.

Cake Pop Maker holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cake Pop Maker has 1.5K ratings behind it against 23, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 89% of More Pie's written reviews are positive against 86% of Cake Pop Maker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

More Pie ships an update every 4 months, Cake Pop Maker weekly. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
