# Q vs NotoMe

The clearest difference is rating: NotoMe at 5.0 against Q's 3.0. NotoMe also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). Q's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (53 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

NotoMe holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Q has 53 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Q ships an update every 3 months, NotoMe every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
