# Grass vs HISTORY Vault

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Grass at 100% against HISTORY Vault's 29%. Grass also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4). HISTORY Vault's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 95 months) and rating (3.9 vs 3.7). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HISTORY Vault sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Grass asks for nothing beyond the download.

HISTORY Vault holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HISTORY Vault has 1.1K ratings behind it against 202, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Grass's written reviews are positive against 29% of HISTORY Vault's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Grass ships an update every 95 months, HISTORY Vault monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
