# AvPlan EFB vs Airmate

AvPlan EFB and Airmate both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 86% of AvPlan EFB's written reviews are positive against 75% of Airmate's. Airmate's advantage is ratings volume (545 vs 94) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.6). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AvPlan EFB sells 11 one-off in-app purchases and Airmate sells 21 in-app purchases, starting at $24.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for AvPlan EFB against 4.5 for Airmate. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Airmate has 545 ratings behind it against 94, so its average is the more settled of the two.
