# iPatente vs E

The clearest difference is rating: iPatente at 2.0 against E's 1.0. iPatente also leads on ratings volume (7 vs 1) and review sentiment (28% vs 19%). E's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

iPatente holds the better App Store score, 2.0 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iPatente has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 28% of iPatente's written reviews are positive against 19% of E's.

iPatente ships an update every 2 months, E monthly. Both last shipped on September 29, 2026.
