# Unit Converter vs Service ME

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Service ME at none against Unit Converter's 10. Service ME also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.0). Unit Converter's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 13 months) and ratings volume (14K vs 4). On price, rating and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Unit Converter sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month. Service ME asks for nothing beyond the download.

Service ME holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Unit Converter has 14K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of Unit Converter's written reviews are positive against 50% of Service ME's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Unit Converter ships an update weekly, Service ME every 13 months. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
