# Snow vs iGetwind

Snow and iGetwind both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of iGetwind's written reviews are positive against 47% of Snow's. iGetwind also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 12) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). Snow's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 10 months). On price, rating, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Snow sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. iGetwind asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Snow against 4.9 for iGetwind. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Snow has 995 ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 47% of Snow's written reviews are positive against 100% of iGetwind's.

Snow ships an update every 3 weeks, iGetwind every 10 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
