# Truth Is Written vs Prayer Notes

The clearest difference is ads: Truth Is Written at none against Prayer Notes's shown. Truth Is Written also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (12.4 vs 17.0). Prayer Notes's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 30 months) and ratings volume (3.8K vs 11). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Truth Is Written sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Prayer Notes sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Truth Is Written holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Prayer Notes has 3.8K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of Truth Is Written's written reviews are positive against 74% of Prayer Notes's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Truth Is Written ships an update every 30 months, Prayer Notes every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
