# Interactive Sketchbook vs Pip

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Pip at 91% against Interactive Sketchbook's 43%. Pip also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 4 months). Interactive Sketchbook's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Interactive Sketchbook costs $4.99 and Pip $0.99 up front. Interactive Sketchbook sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Pip asks for nothing beyond the download.

Interactive Sketchbook holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pip has 29 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of Interactive Sketchbook's written reviews are positive against 91% of Pip's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Interactive Sketchbook ships an update every 4 months, Pip every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
