# Interactive Sketchbook vs Light Creations

The clearest difference is rating: Interactive Sketchbook at 5.0 against Light Creations's 4.1. Light Creations's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and review sentiment (76% vs 43%). On update cadence, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Interactive Sketchbook costs $4.99 and Light Creations $2.99 up front. Interactive Sketchbook sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Light Creations asks for nothing beyond the download.

Interactive Sketchbook holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Light Creations has 14 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of Interactive Sketchbook's written reviews are positive against 76% of Light Creations's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Interactive Sketchbook ships an update every 4 months, Light Creations every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
