# Valor vs Estadão

The clearest difference is rating: Estadão at 4.6 against Valor's 1.2. Estadão also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). Valor's advantage is iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.1). On price, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Valor sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Estadão sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Estadão holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 1.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Estadão has 1.3K ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 6% of Valor's written reviews are positive against 16% of Estadão's.

Valor ships an update every 2 months, Estadão fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
