# Xfinity Home vs Evolution Hair Design

The clearest difference is ads: Evolution Hair Design at none against Xfinity Home's shown. Evolution Hair Design also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.3) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Xfinity Home's advantage is ratings volume (12K vs 9). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Evolution Hair Design holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Xfinity Home has 12K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
