# Xfinity Home vs MYRTM

The clearest difference is rating: MYRTM at 5.0 against Xfinity Home's 4.3. MYRTM also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Xfinity Home's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 14 months) and ratings volume (12K vs 2). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MYRTM holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Xfinity Home has 12K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Xfinity Home ships an update every 2 months, MYRTM every 14 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
