# NJ.com vs NJ News Time

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: NJ News Time at none against NJ.com's 10. NJ News Time also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). NJ.com's advantage is ratings volume (25K vs 2) and chart position (#66 vs unranked). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NJ.com sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. NJ News Time asks for nothing beyond the download.

NJ News Time holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NJ.com has 25K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 18% of NJ.com's written reviews are positive against 15% of NJ News Time's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
