# LehighValleyLive.com vs Grand Rapids Press

The clearest difference is monetization model: Grand Rapids Press at free with in-app purchases against LehighValleyLive.com's subscription. Grand Rapids Press also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (43% vs 27%). LehighValleyLive.com's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 months) and rating (4.6 vs 4.3). On price, in-app purchases, chart position and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LehighValleyLive.com sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Grand Rapids Press sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $24.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LehighValleyLive.com holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2.8K and 696 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 27% of LehighValleyLive.com's written reviews are positive against 43% of Grand Rapids Press's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

LehighValleyLive.com ships an update every 2 weeks, Grand Rapids Press every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
