# Temple Run vs Jetpack Joyride

The clearest difference is rating: Jetpack Joyride at 4.7 against Temple Run's 4.4. Jetpack Joyride also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). Temple Run's advantage is ratings volume (420K vs 104K) and chart position (#31 vs #112). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Temple Run sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Jetpack Joyride sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Jetpack Joyride holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 420K and 104K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of Temple Run's written reviews are positive against 67% of Jetpack Joyride's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Temple Run ships an update every 2 months, Jetpack Joyride every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 26, 2026.
