# TimerZ vs BatteryNow

The clearest difference is price: TimerZ at Free against BatteryNow's $0.99. TimerZ also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (10 vs 1). BatteryNow's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 18.6). On review sentiment, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

TimerZ is free to download; BatteryNow costs $0.99 up front. TimerZ sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. BatteryNow asks for nothing beyond the download.

TimerZ holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TimerZ has 10 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of TimerZ's written reviews are positive against 67% of BatteryNow's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TimerZ ships an update every 3 months, BatteryNow every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
