# TimerZ vs HOLD

The clearest difference is ads: TimerZ at none against HOLD's shown. HOLD's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.6). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TimerZ sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and HOLD sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TimerZ ships an update every 3 months, HOLD every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
