# Amharic vs NPD

Amharic and NPD both sit at 4.2 stars, but that hides the real split: 68% of Amharic's written reviews are positive against 0% of NPD's. NPD's advantage is price (Free vs $4.99) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On rating, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

NPD is free to download; Amharic costs $4.99 up front. Amharic sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and NPD sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NPD holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6 and 6 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of Amharic's written reviews are positive against 0% of NPD's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Amharic ships an update every 6 months, NPD every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
