# NJ Lottery vs MSN

The clearest difference is update cadence: MSN at every 2 weeks against NJ Lottery's every 6 months. MSN also leads on ratings volume (124K vs 5.5K) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). NJ Lottery's advantage is iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for NJ Lottery against 4.6 for MSN. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MSN has 124K ratings behind it against 5.5K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 34% of NJ Lottery's written reviews are positive against 38% of MSN's.

NJ Lottery ships an update every 6 months, MSN every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
