# FishPond vs Nitro Sprint

The clearest difference is rating: Nitro Sprint at 4.0 against FishPond's 3.5. Nitro Sprint also leads on ratings volume (1.6K vs 17) and iOS requirement (3.1.2 vs 18.0). FishPond's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and review sentiment (70% vs 51%). On price, update cadence, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Nitro Sprint sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. FishPond asks for nothing beyond the download.

Nitro Sprint holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Nitro Sprint has 1.6K ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of FishPond's written reviews are positive against 51% of Nitro Sprint's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FishPond ships an update fortnightly, Nitro Sprint every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
