# LiquidSpace vs Optix

The clearest difference is update cadence: Optix at every 5 weeks against LiquidSpace's every 3 months. Optix also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.7) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Optix holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 221 and 157 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of LiquidSpace's written reviews are positive against 67% of Optix's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

LiquidSpace ships an update every 3 months, Optix every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
