# Doodle Dandy vs Doodle Spark

The clearest difference is ads: Doodle Spark at none against Doodle Dandy's shown. Doodle Spark also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Doodle Dandy's advantage is ratings volume (69 vs 3) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Doodle Dandy sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Doodle Spark sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Doodle Spark holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. Doodle Dandy ships an update fortnightly, Doodle Spark every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
