# Farm Progress vs Lancaster Farming

The clearest difference is rating: Lancaster Farming at 4.7 against Farm Progress's 1.0. Lancaster Farming also leads on ratings volume (88 vs 2). Farm Progress's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 4 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Lancaster Farming holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lancaster Farming has 88 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Farm Progress's written reviews are positive against 67% of Lancaster Farming's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Farm Progress ships an update every 2 months, Lancaster Farming every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
