# Omroep West vs NOS

Omroep West and NOS both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Omroep West's written reviews are positive against 44% of NOS's. NOS's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (1.2K vs 29). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Omroep West against 4.7 for NOS. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NOS has 1.2K ratings behind it against 29, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of Omroep West's written reviews are positive against 44% of NOS's.

Omroep West ships an update fortnightly, NOS every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
