# iMotion vs Timelapse Camera

The clearest difference is review sentiment: iMotion at 73% against Timelapse Camera's 27%. iMotion also leads on rating (4.5 vs 3.6) and ratings volume (2.8K vs 26). Timelapse Camera's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iMotion sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Timelapse Camera sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

iMotion holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iMotion has 2.8K ratings behind it against 26, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 73% of iMotion's written reviews are positive against 27% of Timelapse Camera's.

iMotion ships an update every 2 months, Timelapse Camera weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
