# THE OUTNET vs ShopSimon

The clearest difference is rating: ShopSimon at 4.4 against THE OUTNET's 1.4. ShopSimon also leads on ratings volume (413 vs 34) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks). THE OUTNET's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (47% vs 31%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ShopSimon holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 1.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ShopSimon has 413 ratings behind it against 34, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of THE OUTNET's written reviews are positive against 31% of ShopSimon's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

THE OUTNET ships an update every 5 weeks, ShopSimon every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
