# THE OUTNET vs Mercier

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Mercier at 100% against THE OUTNET's 47%. Mercier also leads on rating (4.5 vs 1.6) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). THE OUTNET's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (monthly vs every 4 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Mercier holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 1.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: THE OUTNET has 56 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 47% of THE OUTNET's written reviews are positive against 100% of Mercier's.

THE OUTNET ships an update monthly, Mercier every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
