# Estadão Digital vs Metrópoles

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Metrópoles at none against Estadão Digital's 10. Metrópoles also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Estadão Digital's advantage is review sentiment (32% vs 3%) and ratings volume (1.5K vs 1). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Estadão Digital sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Metrópoles asks for nothing beyond the download.

Metrópoles holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Estadão Digital has 1.5K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 32% of Estadão Digital's written reviews are positive against 3% of Metrópoles's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Estadão Digital ships an update every 3 months, Metrópoles every 5 weeks. Both last shipped on November 6, 2026.
