# Chakra Pro vs Open

The clearest difference is price: Open at Free against Chakra Pro's $4.99. Open also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (18K vs 235). Chakra Pro's advantage is review sentiment (96% vs 60%) and in-app purchases (none vs 2). On rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Open is free to download; Chakra Pro costs $4.99 up front. Open sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Chakra Pro asks for nothing beyond the download.

Open holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Open has 18K ratings behind it against 235, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 96% of Chakra Pro's written reviews are positive against 60% of Open's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Chakra Pro ships an update every 5 months, Open weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 8, 2026 respectively.
