# Ostsee Guide vs Landal

The clearest difference is update cadence: Landal at fortnightly against Ostsee Guide's every 6 months. Landal also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and ratings volume (113 vs 12). Ostsee Guide's advantage is review sentiment (41% vs 29%). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Landal holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Landal has 113 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 41% of Ostsee Guide's written reviews are positive against 29% of Landal's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Ostsee Guide ships an update every 6 months, Landal fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 14, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
