# Ostsee Guide vs HOTEL DE

The clearest difference is rating: HOTEL DE at 4.8 against Ostsee Guide's 4.3. HOTEL DE also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 months) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Ostsee Guide's advantage is review sentiment (41% vs 9%). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

HOTEL DE holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 12 and 15 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 41% of Ostsee Guide's written reviews are positive against 9% of HOTEL DE's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Ostsee Guide ships an update every 6 months, HOTEL DE every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
